When i hear "apps" instead of "software", that's really all i need to know about this. It's another way to run shit like farmville, poke and status updates outside of facebook.

@sink257 Fair enough. Agreed.

@obedandre The technology is open, but some developers wold like to charge for their apps because of certain premium features (think Android)

February 27th, 2011 at 12:39 am
@Ivotube92 Did you know that Google Chrome OS really exists? It is still being developed and it is indeed only a web browser.
February 27th, 2011 at 12:53 am
How to get this?
February 27th, 2011 at 12:57 am

February 27th, 2011 at 2:32 am
@millerxcrunning U guys are really dumb, Firefox 4 has a chrome like interface. Do some research instead of posting rubbish.
February 27th, 2011 at 3:08 am
@SiebeSniper
I saw it. There's an extrage relationship between them, because when using Firefox google doesn't prompt you to use Chrome..
February 27th, 2011 at 3:37 am

This model is the future. The current closed/gated/curated native App Stores are the Compuserve and Prodigy of our time, and Open Web Apps will certainly win at the end of the day. - Dan, @ApprTV on twitter

Just when you thought javascript had absolutely no value, other than to spread spyware and slow down your browser with "advanced" effects no one ever asked for
February 27th, 2011 at 6:35 am
I am sorry, but Javascript should not establish as "the" language of future. There are languages, better designed to fit into developing applications in an OOP style, such as C#, Java, C++, Python.
They are also much more performant and most of them support proper conventions like declaring types is required.
