The growing demand of business organizations to acquire systems that help advance the flow of information dissemination is addressed by business intelligence. In the past years, the compilation and management of essential data were handled manually by people who had become experts at their job. Each piece of data were meticulously stored, gathered and read which could take quite a while to do. Human errors occurred once in a while due to the sheer volume of information. Times have changed since then. Technology has progressed so dramatically and computer-based applications and systems have been created as an option to handle the workload of data analysis and management. Business intelligence is now a part of most company structures, and it includes several useful features such as data visualization in the form of graphic reports. Such reporting tools make it easier for the end users to grasp information because they are presented with graphs, tables and charts.
